Unable to Send Email

Hi, I'm having trouble sending emails because my mailbox is full.

Hey there, unfortunately, it’s pretty common to hit the mailbox limit. Here’s a quick rundown of what you need to do:

Step 1: Clean Up Your Inbox

Head to your Outlook inbox and sort your emails by size, usually found in the view settings. Start deleting or archiving the largest emails, which are probably the ones with attachments. You can also do a search for keywords like “spam” or “promotion” to find emails you can safely delete in bulk.

Step 2: Empty Your Deleted Items Folder

Don’t forget to check your deleted items folder as well. Make sure to empty it completely to free up space.

Step 3: Archive Old Emails

Consider archiving old emails that you need to keep but don’t need immediate access to. This will move them from your main mailbox to a separate folder, giving you more storage space.

Step 4: Adjust Your Exchange Storage Settings (If Applicable)

If you’re using Outlook through a work environment or have your own Exchange server set up, you might need to adjust the storage settings. Check your Outlook settings for the option to increase your mailbox size or talk to your IT department about bumping up your storage.

Step 5: Save Attachments Locally

Going forward, try to save attachments locally instead of keeping them in your emails. This will help prevent your mailbox from filling up so quickly.

That should get you sending emails again By regularly cleaning up your inbox and being mindful of attachments, you can avoid hitting the mailbox limit in the future.
