Hey there Sorry to hear you’re stuck on version 1607. I’ve seen this issue before, and it’s usually due to a few common problems. Let’s try to troubleshoot and get you updated to the latest version of Windows 10.

First, can you please try the following steps:

  1. Check for corruption in the Windows Update files: Sometimes, the update files can get corrupted, causing the update process to fail. To fix this, you can try running the Windows Update Troubleshooter. You can do this by going to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot, and then running the Windows Update troubleshooter.

  2. Disable any third-party antivirus software: Sometimes, antivirus software can interfere with the update process. Try disabling any third-party antivirus software you have installed, and then try updating again.

  3. Check for pending updates in the Windows Store: Believe it or not, sometimes updates can get stuck in the Windows Store. To check for pending updates, open the Windows Store app, click on the three dots in the top right corner, and then click on “Downloads and updates”. If you see any pending updates, try installing them and then try updating Windows again.

If none of the above steps work, it’s possible that there’s a more serious issue going on. In that case, you can try the following:

  1. Run the DISM tool: The DISM tool can help fix corruption in the Windows system files. To run the DISM tool, open Command Prompt as an administrator, and then type the following command: dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

  2. Run the SFC tool: The SFC tool can help fix corruption in the Windows system files. To run the SFC tool, open Command Prompt as an administrator, and then type the following command: sfc /scannow

  3. Try a manual update: You can try downloading the latest update manually from the Microsoft website. You can find the latest updates on the Microsoft Update Catalog website.

If none of these steps work, you may need to perform a more advanced troubleshooting or even a system restore. But let’s not jump to that just yet. Try the above steps and see if they help resolve the issue. Good luck
