Photos Displaying as Framed Landscapes in Photo Album - Why?

I've been using Photo Album to store my photos, but lately, some of them are displaying as landscape scenes. I've checked the settings, but can't find anything that would cause this. It's really confusing. I've attached a screenshot to show what's happening. Does anyone know what's behind this issue?

I’ve looked at your screenshot, and it’s clear that the photo album on your Windows 11 system is causing trouble by displaying some photos as landscape scenes, even when they’re not supposed to. I’ll walk you through a few simple steps to resolve this.

  1. Check Image File Orientation

    • Open File Explorer and navigate to the folder where these problematic photos are stored.
    • Right-click on one of the photos and select Properties.
    • Look at the Details tab.
    • Check if the Orientation field is correctly set. If it’s not, you can edit it manually using tools like IrfanView or Adobe Photoshop.
  2. Update Your Photo Album App

    • Go to the Microsoft Store.
    • Search for Photo Album.
    • Click Update if an update is available.
    • Restart your computer after the update.
  3. Check for Windows Updates

    • Go to Settings.
    • Click Update & Security.
    • If any updates are available, download and install them.
    • Restart your computer.
  4. Reset Photo Album

    • Press Win + I to open Settings.
    • Scroll down and click Apps.
    • Find Photo Album and click Advanced options.
    • Click the Reset button.

These steps should fix the issue. If you still have trouble, feel free to reply with more details, and I’ll do my best to help.
